Pesarattu + Allam Chutney

Pesarattu Preparation:


Ingredients:


Moong Dal(Green Gram): 1 cup
Rice : 2 spoons
Ginger : 1/4 inch (optional)
Salt : As per taste
Oil


Preparation:


Soak Moong dal and rice for 4-6 hrs. Grind them along with ginger by adding required water. Add salt as per taste. Now the batter is ready to make Pesarattus. 
You can start preparing Pesarattu immediately.

optional:

Saute Chopped onions,Chopped Green chilies and cumin seeds in a pan with little oil.
Spread them on the pesarattu while pesarattu is half cooked.

Allam Chutney(Ginger Chutney):


Ingredients:


Ginger: 1 inch size ( or 1 table spoon chopped ginger)
Grated Jaggery : 1 table spoon
Tamarind : 1 inch ball size(soak it in water)

Spicy Mixture:
Mustard seeds: 1 table sppon
Fenugreek seeds: 10
Black Gram or Urad Dal: 1 table spoon
Curry Leaves: 15-20 leaves
Red dry chillies: 6-10
Salt : As per taste
Oil


Preparation:

Heat oil in the pan, add mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds, black gram .Once the seeds are little fried add Red chilies, Curry leaves. Fry them for 1 or 2 minutes.

Let the fried mixture cool down.

Grind this mixture along with salt. Once the mixture is grinded add Grind again till it is smooth.
